Nobody made it up the harder sides all day. 42" iroks = denied, 40" boggers = denied, 35" procomps = denied...

The 3.4L is really nice.

My only complaint is not a lot of people are running them up here, so if i need a spare part on the trail, i won't find one.

yah i can see the issue with not having parts. BTW did you drop your 3.4 into the stock 3.0L mounts? because i here that the 3.4 is taller and you will need to cut the hood? sorry if i missed part of the build.

yes put the 3.0L mounts on the 3.4L block and it bolts right up..

IT is taller, but i just hammered the hood out until i can put a hood scoop on it.

So heres my new stance..

Next to a stock runner:

Now just have to figure out what this slight death wobble is from..
It has always been from my shackles coming loose, and i would tighten the bolts and it would go away, until the bolts would come loose again..

Well the spacer things that came with the TG shackles loves to destroy bushings, and mine ARE TOAST.....

Im hoping if i replace my bushings the DW will go away..

So hears a small write up on the inchworm beadlock screws..

First pull the valve stems and let the air out of the tires.. Then jack the wheel up so you can spin it around to make the installment go smoother.. (oh better grab a few  before you start, youll be here a while)

Then Thomas used a piece of tape and measured an equal distance between each screw..

Take a punch and make a guide mark where each screw will go

You might choose to do this and add right stuff to the screw before you attempt to drive them into the wheel, but the metal shavings stick to it, we found it better to start the screw and leave 1/2" room so we could apply right stuff before torquing down the screws.

Drive the screws down and then go over each one with a wrench so you don't strip them out with the drill.

While you are cleaning off the excess rtv that got everywhere, might as well take that brake cleaner and get rid of those :stopit: blue and red strips on the wheels.

Thats it for now..

Youll get a review later once snow falls to let you know how they work..

Pretty much..

Buddy got them cause he was sick of popping beads on his 42's..

Just screws through the rim, snug against the bead so it cannot slide off.. Think it was $70 for the set for inner and outer beads..

Supposedly they work out great.. Im just not up for having 64 screws in each wheel for inner and outer beads.. thats a lot of opportunity's for leaks.

We will see how they work though, if he is stoked i might go that route in the future.

Nice.. i was just talking to someone locally and they said their buddy rolled his sc/3.4 tacoma..

and bascially put it back to stock for insurance and has all the S/C parts. left over..

Said he wanted 2k for the S/C, ecu,7th injector kit, and some other stuff..

I don't know if its worth it, but i need other stuff more than a S/C./

Truck looks sweet with the 40's. Would love to do this to my 2dr runner, need it to be drivable for long distances though.

Keep it up man, Duals will be sweet with that setup.
