Update to my build.....

Well my motor is done for i believe. All the cylinders have 100psi and cylinders 2 and 6 have 60-65psi....... All are really low..

So im checking out a 3.4L this weekend, if it checks out good i will be picking it up to throw it in the runner..

are you running stock height LC springs? im trying to keep mine low as possible, tub the rear and firewall. does the 36" rub on the front of the rear wheel well? im just asking all these questions because i cant really find other builds with stock links im planning om making new links when i got the cash but for now the stock ones have to work.

Um in the back its fine. It pulls the inside lip of the rear fender out a little after it flexes all the way...

I had to pull the rear bumper though because the tires rubed on it..
I used the TG sas kit for the front and moved the front hanger 3/4" forward..
It actually rubs on the front bumper, doesn't touch the firewall.

okay i trying to find the parts that i need to finish this swap..

Now i was thinking about using my 3.0 flywheel/starter/clutch...
Would that work, or should i buy the 3.4 flywheel/clutch.. Then would the 3.0 starter work with that combo?

Also does anybody know which M/T ecu i need that would have the same plug connections as the auto ecu with part number.

89661-04460

heres the pic of the ecu, idk if it helps

Thanks in advance..

I know a friend who sas'd his runner just like urs and the frame bent on him bc the frame was made for ifs and isn't strong enough. I dont know if you reinforced urs yet. But I highly recommend it.

Also after everything, how much did you spend for the sas? Including renting the welder and stuff. And how much time do you estimate you put into it??

Hey man, just now got caught up on your build.
Great work, seriously - I wish I had the money, the time and the patience to do all that.

I really want to get a trail rig one of these days, until then, I'll just have to keep my Tacoma looking purty.

No i haven't reinforced it yet.. Maybe soon...
As for how much i spent on the sas.. it will vary depend on teh deals everyone gets.

I went with the 4" Tg sas kit which was $1000.. Then i had to purchase my axle, rebuild kits, and diff/locker/gears. Then i had to rent the welder for a week. Which was like $180..

I spent over $2,000 on it. And i still am not done with the rig..

(i just bought my own welder, and if you are going to sas yours i would just go ahead and buy one).. Renting one was the price of a 1/4-1/3 the cost of a welder anyways. It took a while for me to prep the axle, but once the axle was completely ready to go.. i got the ifs cut off and the sas under it in probably 2-3 days.. Now that was working with a sawzall and angle grinder, if you have a torch it would be quicker..

Good luck!
