Chevy sometimes just shuts off.
So, i have a 2003 chevy silverado z71 extended cab 4x4 with the vortec 5.3 liter engine.
On this truck, everything is electronic. I have electronic throttle, brakes, ignition, timing, everything. I hate it.
So sometimes when im driving around, at low speed usually, the engine will just shut off. This happens usually if im turning and on the breaks at the same times, but the engine does not bog down first, just cuts out suddenly. The radio, lights, etc stays on but the engine quits. I have replaced the o2 sensors, spark plugs and wires, cleaned the MAF sensor, everything and I just can't figure it out.
Also, i did recently replace all of the fuel lines from the rails to the tank, as well as all of the brake lines with stainless (the old ones were gone), but i dont think the pressure is bad because it runs fine when im driving faster than 15 mph. It also has a rough idle sometimes at stop lights and such.
If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Im no good with electronics and im stumped.
Thanks!

I would bet money it's your crank positioning sensor -- Had the same problem with an 02 Tahoe -- the sensor is located on the right side of the engine block behind the starter

Don't want to state the obvious… but is your check engine light on? Checked for codes?
Edit. Just noticed this is 8 months old. Can't stand threads without closure
