Help me identify this boat motor
I recently acquired a boat that has a motor. I don't know exactly what kind of motor because it has no model number nor does it say anywhere the brand.
Here are some pictures. It is on an Evinrude stand but I kinda don't think thats what it is.
I don't know if this is the original color since it has been painted. I want to find out the HP and if it needs 2 cycle gas.

Looks like an old Evinrude. The top cover style, at least. But who knows. Pull the cover off, if the plug is centered in the head, it a two stroke. Just going by the odds, purtnear all outboards were two stroke until the later 90s. Even then, most were. The smaller ones, at least. Heard it run yet? That'll tell ya for sure.

A side view would help better but it looks like this Evinrude. You can do an image search for "vintage outboards" on google and see what you find. Does it run?

UPDATE: Found something similar:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ESKA-7-5HP...p2047675.l2557
Is there a spec plate on or near the transom mount? Under the hood?
My guess is you have a Sears Gamefisher 2-cycle engine built by Eska or an actual Eska in the 5-7 maybe 8hp range.
