Pics from today of my Yamaha Grizzly 550 4x4 w/ front and rear diff locks. I've pretty much figured out my gear set up. The front has a 12V DC powered cooler and my gear bag strapped down. The rear has my tool box with a 1 gallon fuel jug, flashlight, batteries, tow straps, and a tarp. In front of the box I have my UNLOADED 12Gauge shotgun in the case. I was out deer scouting on SC WMA land.

Suspension bottoms out before pipe smashes, well its supposed to anyway, and high center is kind of a supercross thing, Maico 125's were not designed for that

Oh man. I should have not read this thread and looked at the photos! I've been wanting to buy a bike for a while now as I have not had one for a few years. We have a great cabin in the desert with unlimited places and terrain to ride and I miss riding out there.
As far as helmets and pads go, of course they should all be worn. But interestingly I have never taken any bad spills while riding helmet and padless but I have taken some bad ones (including a broken arm and clavicle) when I was riding in full gear.
I think that desert riding in full pads gives you a false sense of invincibility and you take chances that you would never take without pads.

Scribed. i need to get some pics of my longtravel suped up kfx440. It's winterized right now and waiting for this spring before i take it back out again. It's the one in my sig but heavily modded since that pic. 440 big bore kit, hot cams, elka long travel shocks, hmf exhaust, open airbox with k&n, dyno jetted, skidded, plated, nerfed, blinged. you get the idea. It's fast it flies and it'll scare the pooh outta me when needed.
