Question Jumper cable, cross charge, Motorcycle

AHH!!! All right.. So I asked my neighbor for a jump on my 2004 GSRX (I assumed everyone knew how to connect cables but my neighbor must be color blind)... Next thing I see is sparks and my electronics went out. I looked at some of the fuses (no breaks or charring), which leads me to believe its possibly something worse! Money isn't exactly growing on trees now a days, so I'm trying to prevent a tow and diagnosis fee if possible.. Any tips on what to try or look for?? "Already expecting the worst"

Make sure both cycles are either both 24 volt or both 12 volt systems. Then just replace your battery. It'll usually mess up and your wiring will stay intact if you reverse the polarity and send power through a ground.

You may have burned out your rectifier and/or voltage regulator. Some bikes these are two separate units and some together. If you don't find any blown fuses this would be the next thing to check.
