it's the splitbeam type torq wrend, not the micrometer type, meaning you do NOT have to return the dial to zero before storing it. 1/2" drive, 1 way rachet(righty tighty). i have cleaned all the rachet gears, lub'd with Moble1 syntheic grease. NO rust, none. comes with a red Snap-On case but the latches are broken. here is the catch, supposedly, the rachet head should have a 15 degree flex play, but for whatever the reason, it's locked now at the straight position(in-line with the handle). i didn't try to flex it because, supposedly, i could get a brand new replacement, but the local Snap-On rep is such an A$$, he wanted me to "trade-in" for a value of $65. if you know a good rep in your area, you should be able to exchange for a new one. correction called another snap-on rep in a different area, the TQR250"C" is a fixed head rachet, seems like i got some wrong info. only the "B" model has flex head. my bad. dont get me wrong, it still works as a fixed head torq wrench. i can take pictures after work if anyone interested.
