JDM 3rd Gen Field Monitor Available

I thought I'd just let you guyz know that this was available. I know they don't come around very often so it's not too often that people actually attempt to search for one....so, here it is. Click on the link shown below the pics and you will be brought to the auction. More likely than not, any and all of your questions are covered in the description. If you still have more questions, ask away. This is being sold on auction, only. I won't be selling it off-auction so there is no 'buy-it-now' price in mind. At the time of posting this thread, there was only 1 day and 15hrs remaining in the auction.

Thanks, and enjoy:

Do you ever get these in OAK color? They always seem to be gray?

I, personally, have only had this grayish-blue (Toyota calls it 'Misty Moon'....) color available for sale. I've seen brown covers, though...so I know they exist...just hard to find.

Two questions.

1) I had read somewhere that the compass won't read properly in North America. Do you know if this is true or not?

2) Did the Japanese domestic market ever offer something similar for the 2nd generation Surfs?

Thanks.

1) As for the compass not working properly in North America...not true. The compass will work properly anywhere in the world. You might be confusing that with the Celsius/Farenhiet (sp?) issue on the outside temp reading.

2) Toyota DID make an option ''navi boy'' which was made for the 130 Surfs. It's a dash mount digital compass/calander/clock/alarm/stop watch. Here are a couple of pics of that one:
