Garmin Etrex Legend GPS

[IMG][/IMG]

I have for sale a nearly mint condition Garmin Etrex Legend handheld Gps. It has probably only been used about 10 times. I bought it to Geocache. As much as I enjoyed Geocaching it simply didn’t have the time to go as much as I would like. It comes with the manual, cable to hook up to the computer and car charger. I also have Mapsource Metroguide USA cd-rom. Runs 18 hrs on 2AA batteries.

With the eTrex Legend®, Garmin has loaded a full basemap of North and South America into one small unit. The Legend is also designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). This product will provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections.

The basemap contains lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, national and state highways, railroads and coastlines. The eTrex Legend is also equipped with additional memory totaling eight (8) megabytes. The added memory allows the eTrex Legend to accept downloaded map data from Garmin's entire line of MapSource® CD-ROMs, including U.S. Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots. The eTrex Legend comes in a brightly-colored translucent blue case that really makes the unit stand out.

One aspect of the maps that I thought was particularly useful was you can search on the map and click on an upcoming highway exit and it will tell you all the gas stations, restaurants and other businesses of interest on that exit. So if you’re looking for the next exit with a McDonalds it will help you find it.

The entire device is water resistant and durable. LCD screen with backlight for night use. It features a built in calendar and best fishing and hunting time recommendations. You can store 1,000 waypoints with customizable symbols, and the unit only weights 5.3 ounces so you’ll forget it’s even on your belt.

I would like to get a 105 bucks shipped for this. If anyone is interested let me know through PM or e-mail @ thegper@msn.com.

Thanks, Bryan
