Interested, but to my knowledge, the front and rear Detroit Truetrac units are NOT interchangeable.

what's the part# of the trutrac? I don't recall them being the same for front/rear diffs.

if it is for a solid axle it will work for either front or rear

Doesn't matter since it's sold, but I call BS.
Care to explain why two different part numbers, one for the front 8" axle, and one for the rear 8" axle?

Because those are different spline counts. Apologies, I didn't read through enough, and thought we were talking v6 to 4cyl.
You COULD put the rear in the front, but you'd need to upgrade to a 30 spline long field set up.

if its for the 8", yes it has front and rear application... but you could flip the internal gears to make it otherwise
