82 dlx 4x4 pickup $3500 obo. --owner decided to keep--
heres my daily driver when im not at work.my 2010 honda accord coupe stayed parked for 3 mths because i been driving my 82.
every place i go is in this truck,i love driving it....but im trying to fund something else at the moment.this truck is just a extra vehicle that i can do without....if i had too.
im selling my 82 dlx toyota 4x4.
-22r 0.50 rock auto pistons
-rebuilt 0.10 shaved head with rock gasket set
-4 speed manual tranny,good clutch
-4x4 and t-case working great
-33 super swampers with good tread left
-new carb rebuild kit (needs to be installed)
-new fuel pump
-new front calipers and pads
-1984 warn m8723 with remote,works great.
unknown milage,odometer says 109xxx,but i found service ticket that states 197k in 06,included in a folder with reciepts and new owners manual.
only problem with the truck is this.
needs regear in my opinion,assuming gears are 410 stock,with the 33's....id go 488's or higher.
she will get upto 70-75,but thats all shes got!
but for $600 ($900 value) more i have 4 like new dick cepek 31 inch mud country tires....that would solve the regear issue.
you do the install.
carb needs rebuild,i have idle set at about 900 rpm,if i set idle to normal,she dies....but fires right up.
when left parked over 12 hours without running,she wont fireup untill i put a few drops of gas into the carb.
after the first start up,she fires up all day just fine.
ive put over 1500 miles on this truck,only issue i had was the fuel pump(been replaced)....left me on the side of the road.
drives straight,no pull when braking...ect.
rust is minimal,1 rotten spot under the battery.
good floor pan and cab,few small rust holes in the bed.
bed has sprayon bed liner.
1 dent on drivers fender,1 rust hole in drivers fender.
to my knowledge the drivetrain,suspension is stock.
all original.
im confident the truck can drive a 1000 mile trip.
estimated 14 mpg at best......even with the carb in need of a rebuild.
no a/c
great toy or hunting vehicle,or restore.
i may rebuild the carb if i have the time.
heres the catch....ill be offshore till the middle of december,just putting the add out there.
i may beable to arrange a date for you to go look at it,run it....ect.
but cant do paperwork till then.
tittle is clear and in my name.
im asking $3500 obo with bumper and winch,or $2500....i keep the bumper and winch.
may be intrested in trading for a 4x4 mini truck....let me know what ya got.
also looking for a decent-good 95-98 nissan 240 in driving condition.
my price is on the high end........took forever for me to locate a old yota that wasnt falling apart in south louisiana.
ive seen rusted out 4x4's go for $2500 in my area.
buyer responsible for pickup/delivery
may be willing to meet up within 100 miles.
i take cash as payment.
will be going on craigslist soon!
little muddy in the pics....but i can clean her up abit.

i may be in for a week november 1st-november 8th if anyone wants to go on a good through test drive.
i can find some trails 20 miles away to wheel in.

no longer has a good clutch,pedal travel reached it limit while offroading today.
still daily drivable,but i wouldnt offroad it till a new clutch is put in.

im in houma la,its very drivable...i wouldnt go offroading though.i took it today for a 200 mile run.
75 on the interstate is all shell do.
the clutch is at its limits for offroad,but drives around in traffic just fine.good oil pressure,runs cool,brakes work fine.

went spend a few hours trail riding her,she went places my brothers jeep has problems spinning tires.
hes a diehard jeep man....if hes impressed.....guess i am too.
no hits...guess im keeping her.
been driving her 60 miles a day for bout a week now,smooth sofar.
