i am putting my 92 4Runner up for sale. never thought i would see this day, but gas getting more expensive, and an hour commute each way, i need to get something more gas efficient for the time being.
92 4Runner
3vze V6 headgaskets replaced at 154k (need to double check exact milage)
currently at 206k, i got it at 194k
5spd/4wd, works flawlessly
All options except auto trans
Good-
Strong engine/tranny
just replaced brake master cylinderrotors/calipers/pads/idler arm/inner and outer tie rod ends/inner and outer ball joints- close to 2K in parts and labor there
have complete history records, dating back to the original window sticker
Bad-
Needs tires. the tires on the rear right now are pretty worn on the inside from being on the front when everything was out of whack.
Rust- typical rust over rear fenders reaching into the rocker panels, currently has a valid VT inspection till april
Front leather seats are pretty beat up
Rear window doesnt go down, never really bothered me enough to figure out why
The little window on the passenger side rear door is missing. I broke it because the aftermarket alarm's lock/unlock decided to stop working, and for some reason the keys do not work in the outside locks.
Oil leak- around 1 qt every 2thousand. i think is coming from the oil pressure sender, but have not changed it out to see if thats true.
also, when i bought this truck there was a rust issue with the frame around the rear crossmember and schock mounts. it was completly rebuilt and is rock solid now. a benefit of this is that the spring perches probably sit .5 inch lower, and coupled with the performace products springs, give the butt a nice little lift. a set of BJ spacers would probably even it out nicely
1500 or best offer i like (try me, really!) I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK ACROSS THE COUNTRY will get pictures soon,
