1970 Toyota Hilux **SOLD**

Selling my 1970 Toyota Hilux with a clean title. In good shape to build, but needs some work to get back on the road. Alternator cable grounded out and took some engine electrical with it. Was driving it every day before that. It has a brand new Weber 32/36 carb and aluminum radiator on the stock 8R motor. BBS wheels with brand new Falken Zeix tires.

SOLD!! I'm interested in getting back into a 4 wheel drive, so trades are on the table (4runner or Samurai preferred, but the right truck would be an option too)

Truck is located in Boise, Idaho.

Here's my build up thread:

it would be destroying it after the first encounter with rocks...tubing out a 1970 hilux just doesn't seem right to me. however, if i can't sell it, i just might do it!

That's awsome! I just spotted one recently in a barn near my house, thought about going back this summer to ask the owner about it. Here's a pic

The samurai is pretty sweet too!

putting a 4wd drivetrain under it wont destroy it... wheeling/crawling it will.

Plus you'd destroy the collector value in it since they never came in 4wd.

that's a sweet truck you got there. i used to know two old hawaiian guys that had matching 70's (one orange and one yellow). i don't think that thing's begging for a 4wd swap, but instead keep it 2wd and give it a toyota v8 and get it back on the road for a sweet DD.

Believe it or not, that was the idea originally. I have a 1990 Lexus LS400 with 86k original miles on it that I picked up cheap because it was rearended. I planned on putting the 1UZ into the hilux, but I'd rather put it into a 4wd at this point. Much greater likelihood of keeping the 4wd than the 2wd over the long term.

ps. You could pick it up and make a sweet DD out of it!
