This thread is to review a set of tires someone is actually buying, not about trying to find food.

Kthxbai.

On with ACTUAL REVIEWS FROM ACTUAL PEOPLE.

Having done the research myself, I too will be buying these in future.

1. People who spend too much for tires like to think they got their moneys worth and will not have a good thing to say.
2. THEY ARE LEGAL - anyone tells you otherwise is lying.
3. No tire manufacture will recommend airing down your tires should you drive at highway speed and lose control they will be liable.
4. Read what's out there. There is a lot of information and if you still have a question ask the people at treadwright.

Have fun and be safe!

Sorry I havnt actually started the reviewing process yet, BUT.. I did get the tires yesterday and they look amazing, the original casing of the tire in in great shape inside and out and the gave me all 4 matching bfg at casings! so really its hard to tell a diff from the real bfgs i have now and these guys. I wont actually be able to mount them until monday due to conflicting schedules with school and work, but I will have some pics up in no time.

The "New"tires were seperating because of dry-rotting from the inside out, killing people
So I guess even getting new tires can get you killed!!!

Those are outdated tires as reported by ABC.New tires only have a shelf/active life of 6 years.Even Ford came out with a safety suggestion that tires should be thrown out after 6 years from the DOT date stamp.Treadwright has a molding process that is different from all other retread companies. They might be on to something, except for the warranty.Length of warranty shows confidence,or the lack there of.

With how cheap they sell their tires, I would think it's a business move. They only sell at's and mt's, so they know the tires are going off road. And my casings are stamped '06 and '07.

I believe Junkers ran his for 40k plus without problems.

If I had the money to burn, I would probably go factory, since there are much more choices. But being that my wife was in school, these were a great alternative, they have done really well wheeling, and have served their purpose admirably.

Yeah treadwright uses x-ray in the remolding process and no one else does.So they cant be grouped with any other companies. They claim to have the same "blowout"rate as new tire manufacturers.I hope that is true.

BEFORE

WAYYYYY overdue for new tires... wow!

The more I think about it with people having negative things to say about retreads, I think I will be a lot safer with these retreads than I am now with my bald a$$ tires that are on at the moment hah.

Dang those are some nice lookin tires, I may have to get those next time, may be a while as mine arent wearing very much.
Hey Matt I knew those were the outdated tires, but it still goes to show that even buying new tires you run the risk, unless your someone that know there stuff and inspects for date stamps on the tires. Just saying.

They do have a 2 year 24000 mile warrany which is not too bad, after 2 years i could buy new ones and be about the same as one set of real BFGs.

I think when ever I get new tires I am gona get some 33x12.5 tires for more clearance, better get a 4" lift while I am at it, and a side of SAS

Matt, the duratracs are on my list. But I might be able to get a deal on Kuhmo 61's, and they are both c rated and around 45 pounds a piece, so price might win out in the end. I love the looks of the duratracs, though.

duratracs

kuhmo's

Hey dgl, What did your shipping slip say for the weight of the tires? Did you compare em to factory specs? Tire rack says yours brand new are 54 pounds. I think they end up being a couple pounds heavier.

the shipping weight for each tire was listed as 56lbs so not too bad.. an extra 8 lbs is nothing
