Well I'm back after a long time away and it's time to buy new tires. Most of you will remember the vibration problem I was having when I purchased my last set of tires (went up in size to 265/75/16) and I had that awful vibration that I have never been able to get rid of. Well....it's that time again. Time to buy new tires. I will not EVER purchase a set of these Michelin Cross Terrains again. Way, way overpriced for what you get. My previous set, before the Michelins, were Bridgestone H/Ls. One problem...they no longer make a regular H/L. It has been replaced with the "luxury" H/L Alenza and of course to go along with it...a higher price tag. I did some quick research on these Yokohmas on Tire Rack and they received very high ratings as well with many more miles reported on them than the Alenzas. Two questions... 1. What is your experience with either tire? 2. Tire Rack says that the Yokohama G052 has a more aggressive look than the G051. Not really sure what that means and they don't have any pics. Anyone running a set of these? Thanks guys. Hope all has been well. Matt

I had the G051 Yoko's in 285-75-16, drove them for about 5,000 miles, great tire, no complaints, I wanted more aggressive looking tires, and got LC rims, so I sold the Yokos to a friend with a chevy truck

You probably know which one I will recommend, but I dont have any experience with the Yok's. lol
The Alenza's do have a 65K warranty and the 30 day test drive.
I think Bridgestone is having "Dueler Days" next month, so there should be a pretty good rebate.

I'll check on it tomorrow and let you know for sure..

Ok. The Dueler's are going to have a $75.00 rebate running from 9/1-9/29 via a prepaid Amex card.

THe Yokos are ~ok but they dont do well in snow or mud. They seem to bemore of a road tire. They do have great tread life though. They were the last pair of tires i have before i bought my Nitto's. If off roading you might take a look at the Yoko Geolander MT's. They will be my next tire
