Switching rims from a 1995 4runner to a 2000 4runner

Could anyone let me know if this is possible? I would like to switch my rims and wheels from a 1995 4runner which has seen better days to my wife's 2000. I have heard different things and really have no clue about mechanical stuff, that is why I have loved the 4runners take care of them and you have no worries.

Your 95 came with 15 in wheels, while your 2000 probably came with 16's so no you cannot. If the 2000 has 15's then yes you can.

The rims should have the size on them, either 15J, or 16J, or maybe JJ. If not check the tires, they'll either be R15 or R16 at the end of the size. The bolt pattern and spacing will match. Or just try one and see if it clears the brake rotors.

It will work. I've got 99 rims on my 95 4Runner.

Are you talking the OEM '95 wheels to a '00 Runner?

He was (as in 2yrs ago) talking about putting his OEM wheels from his 95 onto his 00'. So in this situation no, it may not work if the 00' had 16' to begin with, as there will be an issue with clearing the calipers. However if the 00' had 15' rims originally then yes it can work. All this answered 2yrs ago by Paul H.
YotaJunky: This worked for you since no matter what rim size of 99 you got, it will fit since the 95 largest diameter was 15. This however was the opposite exchange.
But this was 2 yrs ago. The thread was bumped by leo asking about door handles????..Yet fails to specify inner and outer.
