I've got the 34x9.5x15 SSR, TSL's. They have been great! My 4runner is a daily driver, so the TSL's are on their own stock rims and I only run them when I go wheeling.

I have 37x12.50x15 SSR TSL's on my new rig. I just did 200 miles of highway with them and they did great. They are loud but not obnoxiously so. The tread will not last very long on a DD and they probably suck in the rain judging from the tread pattern I'm seeing as they wear. I would stick with an all terrain for the street. I think I'll be picking up some BFG A/T's or some ProComp's in 35's for my next set.

I love my SSR's, the way the sound, the way the look, and most importantly, the way they perform off-road... hate going on pavement with them because I know they are wearing fast, debated getting a second set of tires but nah, these tires rock!

I have not tried anything else other than mud kings, and those don't even come close to anything the SSR's can do.

For all you who say "SSR TSL" - which tire are you talking about?

SSR? Radial (not available in 34x9.50)

TSL? Bias ply (available in 34x9.50)

TSL Radial? Radial (duh) (not available in 34x9.50)

I ran the bias TSL's in 34x9.50 - they SUCK on the road. No, REALLY. They SUCK on the road. They are good offroad, but not good enough to offset how much they REALLY SUCK on the road.

If you haven't run a bias ply tire, you don't even begin to realize how spoiled you are by radials.

I used to love driving by you when you had the TSL's troy.

Like driving next to an airplane with the engines on full throttle.

BTW, for those who haven't experienced it: I mean that. I would be driving, my windows up, and my stereo on loud enough to cover my own road noise.

Troy's 34x9.50 TSL Bias tires were so loud they drowned my radio out when he would pass me.

Why, yes, they do suck balls. ON THE ROAD.

If you had said this was a trail-only rig, my recommendation would be different.

that's funny, Isaac - I knew it was insanely loud (like you constantly had the confederate air force flying overhead) in MY truck, but never realized it was that loud in other people's cars ... a guy I work with lives in Buckhorn Canyon, and we met at his house to do Moody/Crystal one time and he said he heard me coming and came outside thinking I was going to be pulling up any minute and was surprised when like 5 mins later I pulled in, having heard me THAT far away!

Oops...I mis-spoke. I was thinking Narrow S.S. TSL's (bias ply) And they do suck on the road. They kill my fuel economy down to 13mpg (from 20).
