I just bought an 86 pickup, 4cyl 2wd manual. I have 14 inch rims on it now with some good winter tires. I would like to get a set of either summer tires or on/off road tires, but I definitely do not want all seasons. I won't get lifting this, I want to get good gas mileage, and I won't be going off road. I wouldn't mind some on/off tires that look sexy as long as they aren't super loud and get terrible gas mileage, but a good set of summer specific tires would be the most ideal.
I am looking to get a set of rims, preferably cheap rims, with a good set of tires. It seems that 14 inch tires are few and far between, so what other size will fit on my truck? My lug pattern is 5x114.3 (5x4.5 I think is the same) but I don't care what size my wheels are, I just want a good set of summer tires.
Anyone have any good insight in this? It's a nightmare trying to search the web, you have to search by specific size and since I am willing to change rim size to get a good of tires its impossible to go that route.
