Revo 2 in 285/75 info - searched, not finding much
Tire time has come. Went to Firestone and ordered Dueller Revo 2 in 285/75/16 (I have the Toytec Ultimate lift installed, no BL). They're going on stock rims. As I have a slight tendency to think first, act, then think harder about everything that I might not have thought of in the first place, I'm trying to further research my selection. They're not in yet, so I've got time to change my mind. I'm having a hard time finding much, since the Revo 2 is a relatively new tire (maybe a year on the market?), and I also assume some posters just use "revo" in discussion of either the originals or the 2 variant. I'm finding a ton of stuff from 2004-2005, so I know it isn't about the Revo 2. Anyway, that's my pre-plea for asking about the beat-to-death topic of tires.
My lack of results makes me think a) nobody likes this tire, b) the tire doesn't fit and I'm the doorknob who is going to find out the hard way, or c) there just isn't a lot of info out there specific to this model and size. I'm good with C; the other two, well, I'd rather know before I pay!
Hit me with what info you have. I assume the pinch weld will be a gametime determination, which is fine, I live less than a mile from the shop. I can make it home with a little rubbing (that's what she said).
If I'm wandering left field here, let me know. I can't venture too far from the bridgestone/firestone family of tires, it's one of those staying-in-the-will situations of married life.

I have had Revo 2s' on my '95 4runner for several months now, and I like them just fine.
The tread pattern is agressive enough for the offroad conditions I find in the desert, and the tires run quietly on the highway. I'm hoping that they'll last a long time.
I am running 235 85 16s' with no lift, so I can't speak to any sizing issue you might have with the tires you've selected.

Picked it up this afternoon. Haven't had time for a long ride yet, noticed a bit of A-arm rub at full lock. Will probably opt for spidertrax 1.25" rather than grinding on parts tend to keep me alive and right-side-up. Ride height is awesome after spending the weekend road tripping around in a 2003 Accord. Next weekend, back to Michigan again. 3 hour ride quality test, coming up!

3 month update!
The tires ride beautifully. I really enjoy how smooth they are, and they aren't overly loud. The do talk a TON on sealed blacktop (driveways, parking lots, etc). Only issue I've had with them so far is very minor rubbing at full lock, and the increased rolling momentum & contact patch size makes the truck a little too ABS happy on rain/snow. I just can't hit the brakes like I could with the 265s, to the point that I'm gun shy about taking it out in the elements, which is a little counterproductive.

I've been really happy with the BF Goodrich commercial T/A tire. It is a little more expensive, and it is probably a little heavier and stiffer than the Revo2 but it is brutally tough.
There is one 15" size: LT235/75R15
I got 16" wheels paired with the 245 75R I want the taller tire because it get's over bigger obstacles more easily. I think I am taking a slight mileage hit with this setup, but this is clouded by the fact that speedo reads fully 10% low now, and odometer is also off by about 10% (actually more miles than indicated). I've verified these numbers with mile markers.

These tires really stick and grip really well in mud. I think I read about one other forum member using these. Check out the load rating (tirerack has the specs).

There are two things (well, three) required of me to remain in my Father-in-law's will; never purchase a Ford, always purchase Bridgestone/Firestone tires. I'll give you one guess where he worked. here's a hint: tire explosion! Flip, crash, die, blame the tire company.
