Question Opinion on tire selection

i have a 2004 toyota 4runner 4wd with a leveling kit and i have nitto terra grapplers on it size 265 70 17's. I still like this tire but am thinking about going with either the toyo mud terrains or bfg km2's in the same size. Does anyone have any experience with these. Which would perform better on the street and rain. I also know that the mud terrains are heavier. Would that affect the ride/gas mileage much?

toyos are gonna cost a lot more. might last a tad longer on the street compared to the km2s due to a slightly tighter tread pattern. since you have a heavier tire, you'll be pushing more weight = less performance. the ride probably won't be affected that much unless you went with like an "E" load range. performance in the rain is probably the same between the two but obviously not going to be as good as the terra grapplers.

How are your toyo mud terrains in the rain on the highway? How many miles can you get out of them?
My nittos have been good Ive got 40,000. I just want a more aggresive looking tire.
