O and they are 31x11x15". But they were a much taller tire then my previous 31" bfg at. And they seem MUCH wider then 11". There is absolutely no rub. I ordered my set of daystar 2.5" rear leveling spacers. So that rear but sagg will finnaly be gone.

ride is still good and they are VERY LOUD. I love it . Ive always loved the sound of being in a 747 while still being in the cab of a 4runner And im sure these arnt the best tires but im not complaining considering i didnt spend a penny and got rid of my old ty AT's.

Yea, I wouldn't try to go offroad with those, the thornturds are not known for their performance

the look factor is cool, but i'd be willing to say 50% of a BFG A/T's treadlife might equal the entire tread life of the dreaded Thornbirds, b/c aren't they a bias-ply tire?...only thing i thought i heard good off-road wise was someone saying something about decent performance in sand, but i could be wrong

For a weekend warrior they might not be bad but for daily duties they probably would get tiresome real quick.

There probably was a good reason they were free.

That's not saying much. The British paramilitary (Special Air Service) used to use completely bald tires in the desert as that performed best. That's like saying Thornbirds are almost as good as a bald tire.

where im from we use paddles in the sand

though i see what your saying, in sand the tread pattern doesn't really matter unless its extreme like a paddle.

its all about a wide tire aired down to 10-15 psi.

They look beefy. Idk Ive never heard anything good about them personally.

But if they work for you and you are happy with them, then Thats what matters.

Not always. Most Austrailian outback rigs run very tall and skinny tire.

And back to the topic, I would've also stuck with the BFG's.
