if your truck came with 16'' wheels 15s wont work as for backspacing i think 4.5'' works

Try getting 3.75 or 4.0 BS that way you wont have to use spacers at all. this works for 16' wheels.

The only things I can vouch for is that yes the Soft 8 seems like a quality wheel at a great price. I was really surprised at how beefy it was when I got it given the cost. And that I noticed no difference at all when I ran ¼" wheel spacers up front.

so many people have made the same rims, unique, cragar, and I even think pro comp and a couple others make an almost identical rim.

Thanks, Cant go wrong for 150 bucks for a set of durable rims. They aren't very "showy" but whatevs. I bought them to eventually go on a set of 33 or 35s

I have the same prob as you do, bought some 15 inch rims for the 4runner. All to find out they don't fit... bs.
Did you ever get an answer on shaving down that caliper? |

I have a 10mm spacer on my fronts, otherwise the tie rod rubs the outer lip of my rims..
does the same with the aluminum 4runner rims... I think its only a 84-85 issue.. |

so what your saying is if I grind down the caliper some and get some spacers I will be able to clear with a 15 inch rim?
the other option is I can get some older 15 inch rims from the old 4runners. Heard those will fit over the 97 that came with 16" rims |

97 sr5 4runner so just for clarification your basically saying go ahead and get the yota 15" rims and dont waste my time grinding the calipers.
or just get some spacers and I should be able to clear the 15" rims black wagon wheels or whatever there called. sorry just trying to get this clear bc im going back by to get some 33s from this dude tomorrow and seeing if I should get the 15" stock runner rims while im there |

15" worked...
I bought a set of Cragar soft 8's, 15" x 8", and they fit my 2002 D-cab fine with 1/4'' spacers... No grinding at all. So there is your answer.
FOR A 2002 TACOMA DCAB, 15" WHEELS FIT WITH 1/4" SPACERS And look damn good... I put some Cooper STT on there and it looks sweet. Only put 32x11.50 on there, found a great deal on them. 33x12.50 next time. I'll try and post some pics sometime --Alex |
