31x10.50 15s on a 6 or 7 or 8inch rim?

i got a 94 3.4 swapped 5 speed extended cab pickup and plan to get new tires for it. it currently has on 235/75r15s and i am planning on running 31x10.50 15s. i have the stock 15x6 rims.

will 31x10.50 tires fit and run safely down the interstate and do slight offroading safely on a 6 inch wide rim? or would it be better on a 7 or 8 inch wide rim? i do air them down a bit when i offroad.

thanx travis.

They will kind of donut on a 6" rim, some tire shops probably won't mount them on that narrow of a rim
15x7 would be better, 15x8 even better

I say 15/8 also. that will accommodate many size tires.

i ran on my stock 15x6 for a while before i got my 15x7 with no problems at all. i really want some 15x8 with an offset to make the tires look a little wider and keep from rubbing the upper control arm at full drop.

Ok will an 15x 8 inch wide rim work without rubbing anything at full turn and full droop and compression?

That will depend on the backspacing of the rim

True but what if I get the same backspacing and offset? I thoight I read somewhere stock was 3.75 inch backspacing? I will look when I pull the wheels off the truck next time.

Ivw done some reading and see that most people use 3.75 backspacing. But what about offset? I want a wider looking stance without tearing out my balljoints and bearings.

3.75inch backspacing and what offset?

I dobt know what offset is stock. I read -20mm but unsure.
