15"x8" On a Stock 87 4x4
Hello everyone, I'm shopping for new wheels for my 1987 4x4 XtraCab. The stock wheels are 15"x7", 6x5.5" bolt spacing, and 3.25" backspacing. I have no lift, or wheel spacing, and I plan on leaving that way. I've been looking at the following wheels:

and
http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Se..._pn=PCW98-5783
They're the same wheel, however one is a 15x8 and the other is a 15x7. The backspacing for both is 3.75", and I'm wondering how they will differ from my stock wheels, and whether or not either or both of these will fit my rig.
Let me know, and feel free to enlighten me as to the definition of wheel width and backspacing.
Much thanks!

Well, 15x7 or 8 works great. I prefer 15x7 for bead retaining purposes, but you're not going to notice any real difference between 7 or 8" wheels, unless you're running really skinny or really wide tires. I may have this part backwards, but backspacing in the positive tucks the wheel in more, and negative pushes it out wider. At 3.25" stock, and 3.75", I would guess these will fit just fine. May give you an inch wider track, unless, of course, I'm remembering it all backwards. Which has happened before.
