I put a set of Michelin Cross-Terrains on my '99 Limited back at 191,000 miles. They are almost worn down to the tire wear indicators.

She just turned 283,000 miles.

That's 92,000 miles on one set of tires.

thats cool, some tires are meant to last a really long time. Toyo makes some tires with 100,000 mile warranty and others have like 80,000. unless you've been thrashin 'em. then that would be amazing.. but anyway whats your point?

I was kinda thinking the same thing. If you are nice to your tires most of the name brand tires last forever these days. I have the same set of 285 BFG's that I had put on my Taco when it left the dealership brand new in Sept of 06. I traded it in and kept the wheels and tires and put them on my Tundra when I got it. I have close to 50K on them now and they still look great.

Ya my truck mud terrians are lastin a long time cuz im never rough on them when on hard ground.. my car tires on the other hand... lets see I've had my corrola and i'm on my 4th and 1/2 set

I was looking to get new tires on my '89 Civic, was just gonna get the cheapest ones I could get. Called around for prices, Sam's Club was running a deal on Michelins 70,000 mile tire and they ended up being about $20 cheaper than all the 30,000 mile tires I had gotten quotes for. When it rains I do massive burnouts whenever I can and I haven't seen any wear on them yet

i got my truck with 31" Michelin LTX Radials on it and have tried my best to wear the f'ers out faster so I could justify getting new tires. well...i've personally put over 30k on them and IIRC, the PO put about 20k on them -- so with ~50k on them, i'm around 50-60% tread. if one were to treat them right on a street rig, i'm sure they'd go 100k. as for mine though, i think i've successfully justified being able to get new tires just by looking at how much i've thrashed the sidewalls in the past year. oh yeah...that and 4.88+LockRite+31" tire burnouts for the past 5k helped to wear down some tread

OK, the Michelin Cross Terrains are finally down tothe wear indicators. My 4Runner now has 295,000 so that is 104,000 miles on one set of tires and they still are only down to the wear indicators!

I'm a Michelin for life guy.
