Klean Kanteens

Anyone using these?
I first heard about them at fjcruiserforums.com last year.

I finally ordered two Thursday of this week, and they showed up today.
I bought a 27 oz and a 40 oz one.
Also ordered two of the bicycle type bottle tops with the top you lift up to drink from.
Funny thing is REI took them off of their website.
They were listed Thursday, but not now.
You can however buy a bottle and cap together.

Here are the two models I got delivered today.

Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.

They come in plain stainless steel color, or another part number will get you the colored ones.
I went for moss green.
This bottle will stay with me in the FJ Cruiser as it will fit into the cup holders.

Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 40 oz.

This one will be for work to stay hydrated.
During the summer at work I often can drain a 64 oz water bottle before lunch.

From what I have heard and read online, these kanteens are suppose to be a good item.

yes!
I use them. I have two. A big one and a smaller one. Actually I have the exact same bottles and colors as the photos you posted.
The only issue I have with them is when I am bowhunting and I am sneaking through the woods they make noise as the water sloshes around. The plastic bottles I use to use didn't make as much noise.
I also have a Steripen water purifier and it fits perfectly in these Kanteens.
I read a great deal about specific hard plastics and carcinogens. I feel better about using these Kanteens.

Good gosh we think alike

Yeah, I take the old Nalgene bottles prior to the new BPA ones are the ones you are not suppose to use anymore?
I have tons of them.
Probably around ten of them in various colors and sizes, all bought over the last twenty years.

Last one I got is not a wide mouth, but the bottle bigger than a quart I think.
Got it for free when I worked at REI's distribution center for about eight months after my second Boeing layoff.

Got great discounts there too on gear.

yea i use the old nalgenes, and probably will still, i have around 15 various sizes and colors. and i would like to work at an REI distribution center, that would be awesome.
i have seen the kleans kanteens around, yet to buy one but they seem just as durable as a nalgene. but arnt they a little on the pricey side?

Clicking on the link above shows them to be $28 for the 40oz bottle. I'd be interested on how easy they are to dent. I like my Nalgenes because I can't dent them.

I looked at the window sticker and it said 4cyl and i popped the hood...sure enough 4 spark plugs, the salesman came up to me and said and I quote "yeah the V6 in these cars is really good!" ....I just walked away!!
