shucks, almost. you need to jump on those deals, man!
great weekend, even if i don't get the axle flipped.
we had a tree fall on our '03 jayco kiwi, which "totaled" it. mainly just cosmetic damage, but still damaged enough to be unsafe. while we don't have the trailer anymore (great trailer), we did hang on to this, which is mine now :
but wait, there's more!

now that the engine is done, i can focus more on the trailer.
today i started the process of tearing apart the roof to fix it. my idea is to tear it apart this weekend, get all the materials i need next week, and re-construct the roof next weekend, as it's a long weekend. i started today by taking out close to 2 pounds of screws and bolts, but i still have more to go. i need to wait for my brother to get home so i can flip the roof over to get to the underside and take the rest out. so far, all the wood is rotted and all major support brackets (there's 4) are rusted out to the ponr. looks like i'll be making some brackets, too
pics to come...

nah... call me old-fashioned, but i like it the way it is, aged as it may be. it gives it a "classic" feel to it. or maybe that's the mildew gettin' to me...
anyway, thanks mark. i gotta lot of work to do on it, but it'll pay off
in other news, i picked up $10 worth of materials to make a spare tire cover. more on that later

Trust me, I AGREE! I meant, "painting over", ...shudda clarified that,...meaning, taping off and painting a coat of "the same" on there. I'm sure you could do a 'roll on' job and have a REALLY nice outcome on a trailer, no? Not saying it needs it, either...just thought, well, since so much is seeming to need a once over, was just curious! lol.

yep, i know what ya mean. now that you mention it, i might. but not for a while. after looking at the roof, it'll be easier to just build a new one from scratch. i'm going to price out materials later, but like i said: it's either rotted or rusted. can't wait to do the end caps. so the roof is going to take most of my time. great. at least i'll have a long weekend
