I bought one too, great camera for the money. I too am learning the manual settings, but am getting some good results after a few outings.

Bought a good used Canon Rebel Xti a few weeks ago. Been wanting to upgrade from my little Fuji p&s. Nice camera and still learning how to use it. I've been learning to shoot and process RAW format photos.
