I must say, you're drawing up a reputation pretty quickly, sadly, not a good one.

They just aren't the types of topics that people want to be drown in around here.
While it may be the off topic area, it is mainly used for non Toyota/vehicle related drivel and photo, jokes, and things normal appropriate conversation that you would have with strangers.

Which people? All people....or some people? If a topic can be discussed with maturity and refinement, is it not worthy of intellectual rumination or is there just a consensus and those who disagree must be silenced? Is there no room for tolerance of others' opinions?

you are correct. i used to respect 4mogger quite a bit. he has a very nicely built rig, and it seems that he knows what hes talking about when it comes to 4runners..... but all respect has dwindled away with the wave of political hatred and propaganda BS he's been vomiting down out throats. he hasnt contributed anything toyota related in months and has been a source of frustration for many.

You aint kidding. The frustration level for us Mods has boiled over the top and many of you have reported this issue to us, and asked for something to be done.

So it will be. 2 week Temp Ban. Hopefully that will chill the situation a little. I think we'd all like the technical 4Mogger back, and hopefully he will leave the Political 4Mogger behind.

It wasn't an attack, but given the amount of his threads which end up in the drama llama lounge, I think it would be appropriate for him to evaluate his choice in topics.

I have no issue with people having an intellectual debate, don't get me wrong, but I'd say a good portion on the threads in the Drama section are created by Mr. Mogger.

I love how they flame and bash "us" over here, and tell us how "liberally oppressive" we are.

Fuster: You and I have always generally gotten along, but I am quickly becoming disheartened with your posting about how we are keeping people oppressed and such. Spare me the guilt trip. YT is very speficially against political and religious threads. As well, it is PG based. The rules are very clear on this. It would not matter who spews the rhetoric, the left or the right, either way it should be stopped. The last few days have been very pleasant here on YT, without BS political threads clogging it all up.

Its no surprise that 4Mogger posted a thread about how he was banned, and everyone (save for Molly) backed him up and kissed his ass. The people who didn't agree with him simply didn't post. I know I didn't, I did not feel like dealing with the drama.

There is a HUGE difference between political threads that discuss candidates and land use issues, and the ones that ended up in the Drama Llama Lounge.
The latter ones had zero to do with land usage issues.
They were created to
stir the pot
cause drama
cause a fight
so yes, we do care about land use issues here at YotaTech.
What we do not care for is propaganda loaded threads who's sole purpose is to cause drama.

Meh it's Pirate. And not everyone backed him up. And in all honesty I have nothing against 4Mogger. Just enforcin' the rules. It's the lacrosse referee in me ya know... I try and keep my feelings out of it.

I'll welcome 4Mogger back if he is cool with toning down the drama
