Actually, the FBI illegally tapped his phones and because of this couldnt present it to the public!! Point Being that it didnt tarnish his image and people close to him knew--he was also a preacher--and even more important than an athlete or winning medals.

I dont carry the same standards around my friends--we relax and BS and talk about crazy off the wall stuff. Work and people you dont know is where you put your game face on.

Kinda like how Obama is a smoker and likes to enjoy a beer. I have no problems with that--but of course the media goes crazy with it and tries to turn it into something else. Does that not make him an accomplished man? Is he evil now?

What if Mary Jane was legal? would it have mattered?

I do however dont agree with processed stuffs--like processed cigs, processed chew,...processed foods. To me a twinke is just as bad as a joint--

We all need an out and cant always be role models--i still say what makes a man great is what they do overall. Still give props to MLK

OT, but my state, Oregon, legalized euthanasia years ago. They call it "assisted suicide" here. I call it homicide. I predict it will become the law of the land under nationalized health care and eventually become promoted by government and media as a cynical means to reduce costs. In fact, part of the controversial "stimulus package" will be rationing depending on age...except of course for Congress.

B17, I agree that the assisted suicide can be a slippery slope. With proper laws it can be done properly though.

Again like the weed issue, if we personally don't agree with it (personal/religious belief, whatever reason), do we have the right to deny everyone else if they desire it.
I think if their actions don't affect other people, they should be free to do/smoke what they want. That's their choice in a free society.

Else we are no different then a Saudi Arabia, where woman are not allowed to drive because of the strict religion of a portion of the country.
Basically forcing your belief on other people.

I do have issues with people wanting laws based on their beliefs but I'm torn on the assisted suicide laws since like stated before it can be a slippery slope

The pro pot lobbyists are proposing a boycott of Kelloggs.

http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story...helps?MSNHPHMA

On the Huffington Post, blogger Lee Stranahan pursued that theme in a proposed petition to the company that said in part, "We believe that most people over the age of 12 would not eat Kellogg's products were they not wicked high."

With Jamaal Anderson getting charged with felony heroin possesion,Chris Brown beating Rhianna and A-Rod and his steroid admission smoking pot just doesn't look that bad when put into perspective.

Agree 100% ARJAN--To many people knowing whats best for everybody else. To many hipocrits to many bosses and really not able to handle living in a free society!! I think at least 70% of america just plays lip service to the idea of a free society....I.e.. that lady saying she wouldnt have to worry about her mortage after Obama was elected or the banks excepting the bailout monies.

That is the silliest petition ever. Pot smokers want people to take them seriously, and they come up with garbage like that? If you want something done, don't make a mockery out of it. All it will do is cause a media feeding frenzy and you will never be taken serious.

Besides, you really think stoners are going to give up their munchies?

This is true. I'm going to eat whatever i feel like at the time and if it happens to be Kellogg brand then i might feel a little guilty for it but it definitely won't stop me. lol

I joked about boycotting Kellogg a while back but in no way was it a realistic idea. They're just wanting to make a stand somewhere but I don't think they picked their fight wisely.

^^that's not completely true. Marijuana has a different effect on different people. ADD is something i've actually witnessed marijuana "fix" but i've also witnessed a person get worse while smoking marijuana. It all depends on the person and how they react to THC.

Technically marijuana for medical purposes isn't illegal in the state of California and according to a traceroute i did on the website, the server is located in LA, California so you have nothing to worry about.

Technically, I already asked you nicely once to follow the rules and I can assure you it won't happen again.

I understand the nature of the thread deals with MJ smoking. Do not turn this thread into a soap box for its legalization. What is "legal" in California doesn't fly in many other states in the USA.

I would suggest you read the Forum Rules as these "gray" areas are specifically addressed.

Kelloggs brand rep takes a huge hit. (no pun intended )

And did anybody see last week's Family Guy which was unabashedly condoning smoking pot and it was hilarious. Check it out on hulu.

That's great, if it's true. lol, but unfortunately the small print at the bottom suggests otherwise. =/

the percentage of americans who smoke is far greater than the percentage of dutch

do we even know what was in the bong. i mean, we can assume, but bongs are sold legally for tobacco use, and based on the picture i don't think we can really say it wasn't tobacco. granted he owned up to it, which is cool, but we can only tell so much from the picture. besides, pretty soon pot will be legal and tobacco illegal. and when that happens, marijuana use will decline and tobacco use will go up. forbid something and its an instant hit. alcoholism in this country has never been higher than it was during prohibition.
