Ok, I'll bite.
Why did you run? What were you doing wrong? What you don't realize is that while you got away now, I'm pretty sure they have your license number and will be getting you down the road. You just went from doing nothing wrong, to a felony evasion charge. Good Job!!

hahaha.. yeah, what the hell were you running from? You were just waiting for a fight? There's nothing illegal about that, or so I thought.

Yeah why run? you were just there to pick up one of the girls right?... you "knew"
nothing of the "rumble"... the only thing that helped you run away from the "interceptor" was the speed bumps... and the fact that the cops were probably only trying to disperse the crowd... on another note what happened with said fight? just out of morbid curiosity...

i was on a county road with my buddy and its actually a rich community subdivision but a the road runs through to a play road. On the way out some rent a cop flicks his lights on and is chasing us. We smoked him through the corners and ended up missing the fishing access (our get away). Roll into town and of course blue lights. Stop the truck and new the cop so only ended up with no fender flares.

i got pulled over yesterday by a highway patrol. i had just gotten done wheeling. my truck load of buddies were drinking and i had one beer about two hours (or less) prior to the stop. he pulled me over for not having a front plate, and also admitted that with a truck looking the way mine does i was an easy bite. so, as he's walking up to the truck, my buddy in the back throws his cigarette out the window right at the cop's feet, which resulted in a $1000 littering fine for him...... i'm not 21, so after luckily blowing a 0.0 into the breathalizer the cop let me dump out all of the beer and leave with a fix it ticket for my front plate...pretty damn lucky...

I got pulled over this summer by a deputy this summer tryin to get to work a lil early. Had my fire uniform on and my Forest Service hat on the seat, so he asked me if I had a legal reason for speeding...I answered honestly and told him no.
He ended up writing me a ticket for no insurance just because I couldn't find my proof right then. Best part:he pulled me over in a Ranger District parking lot, but not mine. Guess I'll never get a job there!

now you publicly posted the fact that you ran and theres a pic of your vehicle plus the state your in... not like the cops are gonna go searchin on yt anyways
heres my story. me and my friend were 14 and had just both gotten out first trucks. we drove a few blocks from his house to flex out trucks out on a little concrete ledge. we were takin a few pics of them and a cop drove by so we jumped in our trucks and took off real fast (i think we caught his eye LOL) he came in the baack way and i took off up the street, my friend went the other way. the cop chased me down and pulled me over he gave me a half hour lecture and told me to hit the road. whew close call. luckily the cop was really nice even tho i tried to run then changed my mind

Not that cops are gona look on yt but they are sneaky. Recently in my home town they have been trying to bust down wheelers so they go on our local club site, find out the meeting places and go there and try to place tickets on us for whatever they can see. They even set up road blocks on a few days after christmas when lots of big groups go out, and did some breathalizers and stuff. And as for getting chased, even either of my yotas could pull away from the cops, they stick out like soar thumbs so im sure id get caught the minute I drove into town again

Once on the bike (600RR)...It was about 1am on a weds night, cruising down the freeway (empty as hell) at about 95mph..Passed a cop sitting on the side, saw him pull out and turn on his lights...Mind you this is middle of nowhere, wide open straight freeway I'm very familiar with..I f say it, and take off...Look down at the speedo doing a little over 140 and the cop apparently gave up. Went home, went to sleep.
Only other time..4th of July, about 6 years ago...Stayed out all night, driving home at about 5:30am...Just ready to get home and sleep, pass a cop doing 60ish in a 45...We were in my low 12 sec 5.0 Mustang...It was a bike cop sitting there with the radar gun, we saw the cop starting the bike and putting the radar up to come after us. We had about 10 seconds to decide to stop or go for it..We were about 1/2 mile from the freeway which was also wide open and empty. "Screw It", downshift take a turn nice and sideways that leads to the freeway..Hop on the freeway and go balls out. We were doing about 125 or so by the time we got off the onramp and merged onto the freeway..He followed us onto the freeway, we maintained a speed of 135-140 (again wide open, flat and straight)..After about a mile, cop was nowhere to be seen. We got off the next exit, put the car in the garage and again...passed out. I would never try to run unless I'm 110% certain there is no danger and a very slim chance of being caught. The two times I did were in vehicles built for sustaining high speeds, that could handle the speed etc. I've raced cars since I was about 14, and not to on anyones parade, but I can drive/handle cars better than just about anyone I know which probably gave me a false sense of security when I was younger and ran.

this is funnnnyy. Ok, So im like 16, me and a bunch of our buddies were out on some public random land having a small fire and drinkin...I had a backpack with grass and glass, 4 popo cars roll up and everyone starts running, we all got away but some dumb B that was there left her purse, so she went back and ratted us all out. I headed over to my buddies house where the majority of my friends fled to, cops roll up as were standing in the front yard. For some reason no one placed me on the scene, and said they had my backpack with them, they gave me back my pack and i went on my merry way, still had my grass

ive never done anything stupid enough where i thought that i needed to run from the freaking cops...
c'mon guys... its just common sense... yea, ive entertained the thought of doing it, but, like i said, i never did anything where it would warrant me running... so, what, you were at a fight... most they can do is give you a ticket for loitering... most likely they will just give you a lecture... just keep in mind that one day you will get caught...

It was last year about this time. I was with my GF and her two best friends. We were in a very, very upscale community (NOT gated), looking at the houses and how they decorated them. All of a sudden I see a car coming in my rearview mirror and knew it was a cop(city), so I get the message, turn around and go on our merry way out. Well this guy decided o speed up and catch us before we leave and pull us over. Now keep in mind we were doing NOTHING wrong. He proceeds to ask us out of the car. Asks a bunch of questions, searches us, the car, their bags, makes me do a breathalyzer, and also two more cops (county, and city) show up surrounding us. Apparently their have been some supposed robberies so that's why. I still think we should have filed a complaint because that is freaking outrageous. (we were 17 at the time)
And since then my GF has been afraid of cops. I later talked to a cop and they are not supposed to do that unless the situation warrants, and that clearly did not.But at least they didn't say anything about my leatherman, hunting knife, and my mini-first aid kit which has a TON of meds.

Just last week I think, my mom was taking me to work and we're stopped at a stop light and she mentions there's a cop behind us. No biggie right? My mom has been driving for almost 35 years and never had a ticket or accident of any sort. Well he pulls us over because the plates, which we've had on the car for 9 years, were registered to another vehicle
? He asks for registration, looks at it, says something about an H4, then sends us on our way. Wtflip?Just 2 nights ago a buddy of mine got pulled over for doing 125 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour zone. Now I told him he was stupid for even going that fast, then found out that he had a girl in the car with him whom is a good friend of mine, so I started going off on him. He drives an almost mint condition '95 Mustang GT with the 5.0 and 5 speed. He spend about $2000 on wheels and tires for this thing. I asked him what the hell he was thinking going that fast and he says, "My tires can handle it.". That set me off again and I told him that tires didn't have much to do with it and that HE couldn't handle it. We had just had a snow so there's tons of salt and sand everywhere. He could have easily lost control and killed both of them. Going that fast by yourself is one thing, but doing it with someone else in the car is stupid. I have a buddy who owns a supercharged '95 Dodge Stealth R/T. He was just having fun back in the country one day and passed a cop while doing 124 in a 55. He hammered and had the speedo maxed out at 160 with the rpm's still rising the rest of the way home. Parked the car in the garage and didn't drive it for 2 weeks. Now he's trying to sell it because he got another speeding ticket and needs a slower car. And because of me he wants a Toyota pickup or 4Runner

had an unpleasant meeting with the local police yesterday morning. hit a dog that ran out onto the road, wasnt on a leash. car is banged up pretty good, dog was standing but bleeding when i got back to the impact area. not sure how the dog is, no charges.
could easily have been the dog & the kid, he was waiting for the school bus. if he had dashed out after the dog, it would have been a very different story. this was 7am and dark, snowy road, high beams on minding my own business. dark flash from the passenger side and big bang, car sliding on the snow. no chance to do anything. apparently, the dog has chased cars before. doesnt make me feel any better though. when you least expect it, life has a tendency to bite you in the butt. use your brain for more than keeping your ears apart. lee

I snagged this from someone's sig in the comments above. I found it quite appropriate and ironic for this thread.
