dude i know that if OSAMA wins the gun stores up here will be sold out of everything for at least a couple months because i havetalked to alot of people and we are all maxing out our credit cards to buy all the weapons that will be outlawed soon and squrel them away!!!! i have even heard of a massive succesionist movement up here!!! it is scary times!

Sorry, but, I REALLY doubt that you're guns will be taken away. All politics are the same, he won't be effecting your day to day life. There is too many people for gun ownership in America. One guy won't be able to outlaw them.

oh it has already started you live in california you should know!
you buy a glock and you get 10 rounds i got a 33 round clip for my glock 21 (only really fits 27 but still)

you want to carry a pistol and have to get a permit and have to pretty much know some one who knows someone to get one, i only need a valid drivers license to carry a concealed weapon.

If you dont think that our gun rights are being infringed everytime the democrats get in office you are blind good sir!!!

Why is it gun freaks think elections are just about guns;I doubt anything will change in Obama's term(s) and I've been hearing this cry from gun owners for 20 years.

A permit to carry a gun? What's wrong with that?

Nobody's going to ban guns especially the ones people already have since good luck in trying to take them.

I support gun ownership but some people that own guns scare me more than the criminals with them.

I'm sure a lot of my friends would consider me a gun freak... Its not that elections are JUST about guns, there are many other important things too... Its just the fact that GUNS protect all those other things, and without them, who has control? The criminals, the police and the government.

I once heard someone say this... The second amendment is the most important amendment and right, because without it....... we the people have no way to protect all the other amendments and rights we so easily take for granted in America.

I don't understand why so many of you think Obama being president means you won't be able to have guns. I haven't heard once from his campaign that he wants to banish guns. Just because the NRA supports the republicans ALL of the time doesn't mean the the dem will try to take away your right to bear arms.

And as far as permits go... Honestly I think they are a VERY good idea! And I think the background checks should be more extensive. But then I'm also the guy that thinks that people should be given a test before they are allowed to breed.

I did not hear it myself but I was taking to a Man from Nevada who said that Obama made a statement in Massachusetts that he would "send the military into houses to take away the guns" I don't knowwhat guns he was reffering to but he obviously does not think our homes are sacred with a statement like that. The US military?? What is wrong with the police? Is it becasue the police have to abide by the law and the military doesn't?

Anyway, there are lots more reasons to vote against Obama than guns. Taxes, government spending, socialist agenda (I was told Obama is a marxist, can anyone confirm this?), bigger goverment, ultra liberal, etc etc..

i know that i am voting against him for one simple reason... He is prochoice (wich is fine with me it should be up to the mother and ONLY the mother if she can support a child) yet he is against the war on terrorism... What does that equate to? he'd rather kill babies than terrorist? no way in hell hes getting my vote.
and let him try to take my guns, i will be held up with a couple of my friends with more weapons, ammo, and supplies than most bases. thats alot of lead for them to dodge..

I've still yet to read where your guns will be taken away and to decide a vote on that one issue is ignorant when people are losing their retirements and houses.

You guys remind me of Chicken Little and in 4 years your guns will still be safely tucked away whereever you keep them,mark my post and let me know when your guns are being taken away.

I support the right to bear arms and that right will never be taken away from us in any of our lifetimes.

So,what are you going to do when Obama wins this since the McCain campaign is and has been falling apart for a month now.

Up here we are limited to 10 round clips even on the range.
But you can carry multiple clips.
Also almost nobody can legally carry either open or concealed. Yes I know the criminals don't care about that and we have the gun crime stats to prove it but still we have a lot less gun crime then some areas with more relaxed gun laws.

It's not a matter of being able to do it in ten it is a limitation, and it starts with limiting capacity, then barrel size, (both already taking place in some states), then what is next? All i am saying is it is a slippery slope. and also if my truck breaks down in the Alaskan interior i want as many rounds strapped to me as possible because it is survival, and you cant always get to the box of ammo or extra mags you have in the trunk or back seat.

As for carrying up here it is perfectly legal to carry concealed with just a valid drivers license and when in the woods open carry is also legal. you can even have long arms loaded in your vehicle, the way it should be!

The part that bothers me is infringement, Capacity limitations, barrel length restrictions, and concealed permits sound alot like infringing my right to keep and bear arms to me........but that is a whole other discussion.

found that in like five minutes i bet i can find more references if i looked harder, and i know some one is going to say who needs an "assault rifle" any ways. well, you would be surprised what falls in that catagory. but dont believe me go look it up for yourself and make your own decision. In the end education on the subject instead of believing anyone else's opinion is the best answer.

I am also glad you know every word OSAMA has ever said, because you would have to to be able to make a statement like that, i mean seriously he cant even decide who he wants to win the series and has said he is rooting for both teams on different ocassions and it was on film so i bet you can find it online somewhere to prove it!

Actually in Road Warrior there were only 2 guns, with limited ammo.

I think Gun control is the least of Obama's worries with the economy in a struggle and I've been hearing that same rhetoric for over 20 years and gun laws haven't really changed for the law abiding citizen. All politicians say something that some gun owner will complain about so I'm simply not worried about my guns going anywhere.

Plus living and carrying guns in Alaska is completely different than carrying guns in NYC which has more people than the whole state plus some of Alaska.

Please post something when gun laws truly affect you when Obama is in office.
