Stolen white 89 4runner in Seattle
Help, my 89 4runner was just stolen over Christmas. It's bright white, has newer model rims, and is a fairly straight truck save for the bent rear bumper where someone tried to tow something by wrapping rope around the passenger side of the bumper, also has bright yellow front seat covers. Please let me know if anyone has seen or heard anything about this. Thanks

Hello all, thankyou for your heads up on this. I actually recovered my own truck on this and had to call the cops to let them know I had found it. The only thing stolen was a CD. No ignition damage, no lock damage. I have heard these trucks were easy to steal, but this seemed a bit too easy. Looks like it might be time for some more anti-theft devices, like an electric fence charger hooked up to an inverter, hooked up to the drivers side seat rail, and some rubber insulators on the connecting bolts. Thanks again.

toyota trucks are super easy to steal. The ignition wears out, and often times any Toyota key will turn the ignition. And its super easy to unlock the doors too. Same key problem there.
You can install a kill switch, thats a start. But often times thieves know that people use switchs on their trucks, and there are not too many places they can be put.
