V8 swap

Ok I think I have a burnt valve on my 22re and I'm wondring would it be more costly to do a chevy v8 swap by the time I buy all the conversion parts? Any help would be great!

Yes a V8 conversion will cost you more than a rebuilt head, or even the replacing the whole 22RE

thats kinda what I was thinking. let me ask you this: ok started on outting a timing chain in, got it in all good except pinched the head gasket, it ran great for about 5 min then pop!. so I took it to a guy he put a head gasket in charged me $500 to do it and it was out of time when I got it back, didn't even change the oil, I drove it 10 miles back to my work and check the oil, still milky, got lucky didn't spin a bearing, changed oil, got it back in time but I have a dead #1 cyl., new plugs wires, cap, rotor, and adjusted the valves. runs great when I first fire it up but once it runs for a few minutes it goes back to missing on #1 still runs strong just a dead miss tho. What could this be? bent, burnt valve, or fubared rings? Did a comp. check and got nothing added oil to the cyl, got puffs of comp but still nothing
