I am kinda wondering, does anyone with a reply actually have a domestic swap ? I have built several, and I hear a lot of talk. I don't understand why everyone has a problem with the Chevy dist. location. Mine is very accessable, and to be quite honest, I don't need to touch it but every 10000 miles or so. If your a tweeker you may need to touch it nightly. Chevy parts are real cheap and are everywhere, as well as Ford parts. Done right, either motor will run great, and don't need to be touched except for tune-up. Both will give the same mileage as a 22RE in a small pickup.
Personally I would go EFI, although I spend alot of time off-camber, so Carbs suck and require adjustment. My Chevota does that all for me, is Cali smog legal, and has not required anything. A non TBI 4.3 will double your horsepower, and torque, and is easy to put in and wire. |

Youll love the 350. Ive got one in my 85 truck. Its a jeep eater. SO much power and ability, and a TON smoother then a 4 cyl. Yea it eats the gas, but it sounds bada$$

Gathering parts right now for 383 stroker .
![]() I'll take pics as they show up. Had some laying around in our wrecking yard, so I decided to start a project, since I hear a slight knock in the bottom end of my 22r
