S gets connected to the + post on the alternator
L gets connected to 12v, and is supposed to have a 3-4 watt bulb inline

L should only be hot with the key on. I run a little bulb inline with L right at the alternator (I think the bulb #110 is used, I would have to check). This can also be accomplished at the charge bulb on your dash. A resistor would probably work too. Or switch to a 1 wire. Last edited by 86toylet; 10-05-2009 at 07:59 PM. |
