gm 3.4

any one have any info on swapping one of these into a yota?
My friend is getting rid of his s15 with a swapped in 3.4 out of a firebird thats nicely set up and he's willing to give it to me along with the rest of what i need from the truck.
I ve got a choice, rebuild my 22re or fit in the 3.4. the engine runs great, and its free, my 22re needs a full rebuild.
not much info on a GM 3.4 swap floating around, I haven't found any.

search for the GM 4.3. It will give you more results. There have been a few on here to do the GM swap but the Toyota 3.4 is more popular here. Good luck and welcome to YT!

Isn't the GM 3.4 a minivan engine? I'd swap in a 4.3 Vortec instead.

the gm 3.4 is prone to intake manifold gasket failure. Also the hydrolic lifters go bad. But thats mainly to lack of proper service. I'd stick to a toyota 3.4 or go gm 4.3
