Adapter
Always go with American made kits. That way you dont have to lurn some foreign language when the adapter doesn't fit.
Look on google for the adapter I believe it comes from Ohio.

v8 swap adapters trans and transfer cases
I have a 93 tbi 350 with t350 adapted to my yota tcase, sitting on dana 60 and 14 bolt..
As far as adapters go advance adapters (advanceadapters.com) has a complete kit to go from a 2wheel drive t350 to a stock Toyota tcase and yes a gear driven yota case will hold up to stock 350 power or you can do what I did and build dual cases with a 4.7:1 gear reduction and chromolly everything and then the tcases will hold alot more horse power... as far as a body lift for the v8 swap not need just when you put your motor mounts in lower them and you can still run stock body height... ( keep in mind I have already done a solid front axle swap) I realize you can't lower your motor with The ifs front but I would suggest getting rid of that stuff because it will become a problem later... and as far as wiring goes I know that buying a plug and play wiring system is expensive but is it worth the head ache of going through the old wiring harness and cutting out what you need or don't need? (also keep in mind I went fuel injected, wiring a carburated motor is not hard)....
I hope this might have helped someone any questions feel free to pm me

I used a dual case cross member from trail gear it bolts up to the factory crossmember mounting brackets, I also use a horse collar beaker that bolts up to the rear output housing of the rear case it runs from frame rail to frame rail using body bushings and a some angle iron welded to the frame, so far works pretty good... I did however move motor mounts in order to allow my tcases to remain in the same place

http://www.northwestoffroad.com/index.php, http://www.advanceadapters.com/tech-...version-guide/, Advance adapters has an excellent guide on all modifications needed for different swaps as well as the parts needed for just about any type of swap. Northwest Off Road is another good resource.

i have an 80-83 toyota, mutant with many lives im running a slightly modified chevy 350 with a turbo 400 tranny and a 205 transfer case , heating WAS an issue with it , and the drivelines are stock chevy with toyota flanges welded onto them, centered on a lathe ,
even though the post is 6 years ago, a turbo 350 may be a longer tranny, unless you put a shift kit into the turbo 400 tranny, ( which supposedly keeps 1st gear from shifting into 2nd, even when in first) i would run the turbo 350 , they are a much more common tranny,
the diffs will hold up just fine, i run my truck hard all the time and have only blown one axle, and im running 35x15x15 swampers

I have cracked two transmissions right on the output of the trans into the t-casem i have a single toy case with the cross member on it, i am running a one piece rear driveline and i believe i am catching it on the rocks which is putting the stress on the transmission, i am trying to find a carrier bearing and drivelines in the junk yard to try and get the driveline up out of the way, and i made a bracket to bolt onto the back of the trans and am currently making a cross member to support the transmission just wondering if i should go at the tailend of the transmission or more center

I HAVE DONE THE 5.7 SWAP IT TO MY 88 TOYOTA USING THE STOCK W56 TRANS. IT WAS A HECK OF JOB TO MAKE IT ALL WORK. I USED ADVANCED ADAPTERS FOR MOTOR MOUNTS BELL HOUSING AND HEADERS. I TOOK ME ABOUT A MONTH TO DO THE SWAP WITH A LOT OF HEAD SCRATCHING. OVER ALL ITS AN EASY SWAP JUST ALLOT OF THINKING AND FABING. I USED A LOW MOUNT ALTERNATOR BRACKET. AND I ALSO USED MY STOCK POWER STEERING PUMP THANKS TO Trans Dapt 4571. I DID HAVE TO ADD A 2 INCH BODY LIFT ALONG WITH A 5 INCH SKYJACKER SUSPENSION LIFT FOR COOLING AND OIL PAN CLEARANCE. I USED A ALUMINUM RADIATOR FROM JEGS 555-52005 MADE MY OWN BRACKETS. I REMOVED MY AC CONDENSER TO PUT IN A FAN TO KEEP IT ALL COOL. I USED A SHORT WATER PUMP WITH ALUMINUM V-BELT PULLEYS. I USED A MINI STARTER WITH A 153 TOOTH FLYWHEEL WITH A FJ CRUISER SLAVE CYLINDER AND A ADVANCED ADAPTER CLUTCH DISC AND A CENTERFORCE PRESSURE PLATE. NOW FOR THE MOTOR I USED A LATE 70'S MODEL FOUR BOLT MAIN 350 BLOCK BORED IT OUT 60 OVER USED FLAT TOP PISTONS. I STEP OVER STOCK CAM. NEW LIFTERS NEW PUSH RODS NEW STYLE VORTEC ROCKER ARMS STOCK CRANK 88 STYLE CENTER BOLT HEADS WITH ALUMINUM CENTER BOLT VALVE COVERS. EDELBROCK PERFORMER INTAKE. GEARED TIMING WITH A FULL ALUMINUM TIMING COVER. A EDELBROCK PERFORMER 600 CARB. I USED A 1 WIRE READY RUN DISTRIBUTOR AND COIL ACCEL PLUG WIRES. 100 AMP 1 WIRE ALTERNATOR. IT TOOK MONTHS OF PLANING TO DO THIS SWAP. AND IT ALL TURNED OUT GREAT. NOT TO MENTION IT TURNS SOME HEAD AT RED LIGHTS WHEN YOU LITE THE TIRES UP...

I want to swap a 350 chevy engine to my 1995 toyota 4runner v6 standard
Hey playas,
I got a 1995 toyota 4runner, standard transmission, with a two inch lift, and a rebuilt engine with only 25k on the rebuilt. I love 4runners but the v6 isn't cutting it when im driving to tahoe, because i live in San Francisco, and i want to fly up there as fast as possible, and bogging out at 50-60 up hill is killing me. I'm new with cars, but if someone has the time, can you please let me know the best and cheapest way to swap engines. My cousin is going to help me install it so i'm just looking for prices for the parts, not labor. Thanks for your time. Stay dirty my friends
