Build begins: tbi 4.3 into a 92 3.0 Runner

Time to start the the swap. Ive got a 92 SR5 Runner that has a tired 3.0, and a few bad valves from previous owner not ever adjusting them. I bought the runner with a known bad motor. It already had a Sky Offroad SAS kit on it. Rear is leaf springs which I think are trail gear. The Runner has 185k on the clock, and is in extremely good shape.
Purchase cost 1000 dollars.

Ive already acquired a 92 tbi astro van with 152k miles that I just got running (needed a new distributor, also replaced, coil, ignition control module, cap and rotor). Runs very smooth. Its vin code Z, so only 165 ponies, but very easy to work on, and maybe later Ill do some internal modifications for hp, but for now, Im just going to swap it in stock.
Purchase cost: FREE (well lets call it 100 for fuel since I had to trailer the ugly thing home.)

Parts list: Im getting ready to order all of these parts from either Advance Adapters or Daves Offroad Supply if I hear back from him in time (he had good reviews on Pirate). Let me know if anyone found a better source pricewise or if I fouled something up, or just different suggestions.
Part numbers are AA.
1) Bellhousing 712561-$459.95

2) Starter-I hope I get to use the stock one (need to pull apart and see if I have 153 tooth or 168 tooth-153 tooth is a 90 degree bolt pattern and 168 tooth is a 45 degree pattern-supposedly.

3) Flywheel- CF700170 (I think I have a 153 tooth) $293.55
going to try finding one at a junk yard or parts store?

4) Pressure plate- CF360056 GM 10.5", $186.95
Im thinking just a gm pressure plate from parts house should work?

5) Clutch disk- 71610510.5" diam, 1 1/8" 21 spline, $125.62
I read that a Tacoma disk is 9.5" and will work fine?

6) Release bearing-N1430 Flat faced GM release bearing 1.37" ID $42.00
parts house may be cheaper?

7) Slave Cylinder- 716213 Land Cruiser, $69.69
What land cruiser is it from? would like to try parts house for price difference and warranty related issues for down the road.

8) Headers? the part number on AA 717056 says it wont work for my application. Ive ready of a few different headers but wasnt able to fine one that 100 percent would work. AA wants $241.36 for these. Tech at AA says I can use them but have to modify pass collector tube?

9) Motor mounts- 713126 $156.80 are these worth the money and time savings vs building my own?

10) 2" body lift for making clearance issues of motor easier to deal with. Any recommendations?

11) Rework factory GM harness and use GM computer to run motor. Use Toy computer and harness to run guages.
Any one have a complete list of components the GM motor needs to run? i.e. VSS, oil pressure, coolant temp etc?

Lastly Ive read hundreds of threads for the past month on this swap from Yota tech to Pirate and beyond. Im feeling pretty good about the swap details and wiring, and have about 50 saved threads on the swap. I would really like a quick list of components the 4.3 needs to run so I know what to concentrate my efforts on. Im sure between all of my saveed threads each sensor and sender is listed, but a susinct list would be helpfull.

Pictures are on the way (im loading them). Ok let the comments fly...please.

Ive been doing research to put a vortec 4.3 in my 4runner. I don't have list of what all is needed, but you the things you can get rid of is emissions stuff mainly. As far as the Toyota computer, you wont need it any more. You can install the Toyota oil pressure and coolant temp parts on the 4.3.

As for the VSS, im not sure anymore on the TBI stuff. My original goal was to put a TBI in mine so I had researched, but found too good of a deal to pass up on the 98 vortec I got. I don't remember if the 92 Toyotas have a mech or electric VSS. That changes things.

I would really recommend getting good wiring diagrams for both vehicles and go from there. I just bought a Toyota EWD from ebay for $30 yesterday for my model 4runner, and plan to buy something similar for my year model 4.3.

I have service manuals for both rigs. Trying to wrap my head around taking the Toyota computer out and tying sensors into Gm computer.

I did the same thing with a '92 TBI several years ago and although at first, it seemed daunting but in the end wasn't. The GM wiring diagram I had (out of a Chilton's, of all places) showed which wires were hot in IGN, hot all times, etc., which can connect to the same off the Toy WD. I still have the VSS that connected into the speedo cable along with my WD if you want it.

Like you said, it's not a powerhouse swap, but it was reliable and a big improvement over the original.
