hey guys new to the forum and to the toyota world in general. I have an 83 pickup that I am going to do a swap from a 22r to a 4.3. I have done a lot of home work on the requirements and necessary conversion parts but I was wondering if anybody knew if I needed to get an ecm out of a manual chevy or if an automatic transmission vehicles ecm is the same. I am going with a w56 trans and matching t case, Nwor motor mounts, and bellhousing conversion kit, howell harness, I am also a little unsure of what header manufacturer to use as well.
