302 swapped into a 1980 p/u. Quick question

I have a 1980 p/u that I have swapped a 1973 302/c-4 into and have started plumbing everything but I ran into a snag. I did a quick search but came up with nothing.

The 302 with the carb I have on it doesnt have a fuel return line but my yota came with one. Since the return line will be unused what do I do about it? Someone suggested I just put a cap on it but wouldnt that create vacuum inside the tank? Maybe use a ford gas tank?
Any help is appreciated!

Update:
I talked to someone much more knowledgeable than me and they suggested capping off the two unused lines and getting a vented gas cap to prevent vacuum. If i recall correctly, older chevys just have a breather (like on a diff) on top of the tank and thats how they avoid vacuum.

I think I will be swapping out my tank for a ford bronco tank, if everything measures up right, so then I wouldnt have extra lines and a bit more capacity. I have read that since the yota and ford sending unit have different resistances the fuel gauge wont work properly. I'll cross that bridge when I get there, either by trying to find an aftermarket pod gauge or maybe trying to use the yota sender in the ford tank. We will see.

That's what I did, was just capped off the return line, I only remember having one line. I'm still using the stock yota gas cap. I've been daily driving it for 2 years without any issues.

I thought I read somewhere that you can add a resister to correct for the ford sender unit to work with the yota gauge, can't rember where tho...

Good luck with your build!
