Pilot bearing adapter.....
Hello Yotatech faithful, I've accumulated the donor car (MB 82' 300SD) the truck (1991 Standard cab pickup w/ R150F 5speed) for the OM617 swap into the Toyota, I've been researching for quite some time now started out wanting to put it in the Jeep YJ but loved the Toyota's, so here I stand, only thing between me and the swap is the pilot bearing adapter. Seeing how I don't have a machinist worth his weight in sand in my town I'm seeking either some measurements or help with this piece of the puzzle so that I can go to a machine shop with specifics. I know a few of you out there have already made the switch most notably Powerstroke Joe because his build is similar to what mine will be in the end having used the same body style truck and tranny. I'm not needing an entire kit like I know 4x4 labs sells or tdswaps.com. Has anyone replicated one of these additionally? Any help is greatly appreciated guys.

I actually changed my mind on this swap and will be dropping my diesel into a Jeep Wrangler YJ as it has a lot more room to work with, in the mean time I did accumulate the flywheel adapter for the pilot bearing and the adapter plate which now I will not be using. But most pilot bearings are made from bronze or aluminum I would go with one of those something soft. The adapter plate was custom made and the flywheel adapter I got from Luke at 4x4 labs if you're interested I will sell them at a great price. The adapter is for the R150F 5 speed trans.
