om617 swap issue someone help

I just started a om617 swap. Motor is already in and all the fuel line is done and wiring is done. I have one vacuum line hooked up to the pump. I have a normal 22r starter and a 600 CCA battery but it won't turn over. Can someone tell me what I am missing.

Does your motor turnover if you use a wrench on the crank bolt ?
Does your starter try to engage ?, you need to give a little more info.

Try using jumper cables to isolate the problem. Just bypass your hot wire to your starter, Then use a separate jumper wire to engage your starter if that doesn't work try a different starter. Of course you should check and see if the engine actually moves freely on its own first. Good luck

Its moves freely but I did more looking into it and I'm only getting drops of fuel to the injectors.

So it is turning over, just not starting??

Did you use the manual lift pump to pull fuel up to the injection pump?

Are your glow plugs getting hot? Maybe not "needed" in Fla, but they certainly help starting, especially with a somewhat worn engine.

You can also crack one injector line at a time at the injector, turn it over until you get fuel, then tighten and move on to the next one.

A bigger battery might help, especially when you are trying to heat up the glow plugs at the same time you are turning the starter. Try jumping off another car to see if it makes a difference.

Good luck

I'm getting power from the plugs. I do pump the fuel. I've tried opening one injector at a time. Still nothing. Just doesn't wanna start up.

What is the "one vacuum line" hooked up to? It's not hooked up to the shut off valve, is it?

Have you checked compression?

Did you ever see this motor run?

Did you check motor timing?

Injection pump timing?

Update the yota did turn over. I'm guessing there was air in the lines. Because I ran the fuel lines into a gas tank full of diesel. I will also be posting a picture of where my vacuum line is ran.
