Diesel swap guys what's your mpg's averaging?
I would like to go diesel in the near future (12-18 months). The platform will a 1999 5 speed 4runner.
Since this will be a DD I would like mpg's to in the mid to high 20's. So I was wondering what diesel platform you are running and city/hwy mileage?
Auto or Manual?
Gear ratio?
Tire size?

20 in town / 27.5 hwy personal best on a road trip from central NH to MD pushing 70-75 the whole way with a roof top tent.

33" tires yielded 19.5 mpg in town and 21 hwy consistently
37's have yielded a high of 23mpg hwy and a low of 16mpg hwy. Very inconsistent. Need 5.29's or 5.71's for 37's.
Very ˟˟˟˟ty motor (hard to work on and expensive). Going VW 1.9 this time.

i got a stock ln130 2lte hilux 4runner surf what ever u like to call her and i get like 400ish km a tank of diesel..
it is comparable to my old 22re..
