engine options

OK, so after my road trip to east georgia and back from Va. I am slightly dissapointed with my yota for lack of power. So I figure at this point I will be doing some kind of engine swap this summer and I am asking you guys what would be the best option.

3.0 toyota
3.4 toyota
4.3 chevy plus adapter to toyota tranny
4.0 ford plus adapter to toyota tranny
22r rebuilt with performance parts.

remember this is my daily driver right now, motor will be built separate and then installed. I would like to be in the 200 Hp range if not closer to 250 or more. so not sure about the rebuild on the 22r. i don't want to turbo or have to run a supercharger, just want straight motor prob cold air intake and headers.

thanks.

the 3.4 would be a good choice, but I would go with the vortec 4.3, much more aftermarket support and will be very easy to get your 250hp without forced induction. but the 3.4 will get better MPG most likely.

A 7M-GE is almost a direct swap for a 22R with the right parts. Stock they're 200hp. If you're looking for something slightly more original, a 2JZ-GE can be put in (220hp).

I agree with annoying, if starting from a 4 banger, its more practical to go inline toyota 6cyl. Or gm 4.3 But i like to keep mine toyota.

Dude 3.4s lay it down I would go with that. I have regrets every day for doing re instead of 3.4 when I did my swap.. My buddy uses his 3.4 swaped 3rd gen to haul his 85 wheeler with 3rz & 47 iroks.. It throws down =]
