A/C compressors and swaps

I have never known much about the ac system but some very basic stuff, my question is when you do a swap, any motor I guess, and the motor has the ac compressor still on the engine. Can you just use the new compressor with the rest of your system? I guess im asking are compressors generic enough to use with other systems? In my case, 91 toyota truck with factor ac and a 3.0 and a swap of 1uzfe.

I have the same question about power steering.

Yes, you just need hoses made up with the proper fittings on both ends. Compressor is a compressor and a PS pump is just a pump.
