93 V6 into 90 4cyl.4Runner

Need some input everyone. Have a customer that brought a V6 engine/ecu/harness/AUTO. trans and transfer case set-up out of a '93 4Runner 4x4 to my shop.

He currently has '90 4Runner 4x4, 4 Cyl with a MANUAL trans.
He wants to stay with manual transmission.

Can this swap be done without to much regret?

I think if you go from a 22re to the 3vze you need different driveshafts.

As for the ECU, im sure it can be fooled to think its in neutral.

im thinkin the manaual trans will bolt up to the 3.0 i cant see why it wouldnt want to. wait why did he bring you all of that stuff all he needs is the motor ecu and harness. it sounds like he has brought u more stuff than what u need to do the swap with u might need a shorter drive shaft for the v6 but other than that. i might be way wrong but thats what im seein

Manual trans from the 4cy WILL NOT bolt up to the V6

You will need a R150 trans and transfer case that came from a V6

You will need to fabricate new motor mounts

You will need a manual trans ECU and harness

You will need a bigger radiator

The swap is not worth it. The older 3vze V6 arent the greatest of engines.

You would be MUCH better off swapping in a 3.4L 5vze. There is an entire forum dedicated to this swap right here on yotatech.

I think you need to tell the customer they are crazy. If they want to spend the money for you to do a custom engine install they might as well put in the much much better 3.4 from the 96 and up trucks/4Runners.
