motor mount....kind of. they are for a gm tranny mount but are basically identical (dimensions that is) to the factory 20/22r motor mounts.

gasket kit from Mizumo auto. they have the best price on stuff. this kit includes the turbo gaskets which are $75 ish from autozone. i got the entire kit for like or so $50

now just waiting on a clutch.

Awesome! That thing is looking clean. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you machine shop work cost you?

for the blocked lightly honed and cleaned, crank polished, and 2 rods done it was like $165. they even disassembled the bottom end. was well worth it.

5mge motor mount towers installed. had to rotate the filter housing so it would fit. but left a gap from where the retainer stud went through the hole.

retainer bracket. not pretty but very functional.

retainer bracket installed and all is good

timing belt installed, power steering pump, alt., valve covers.

got some more parts lined up. bellhousing/flywheel/clutch/slave cyl.,
I assume that where you had to source a bellhousing and flywheel, etc. that your 87 was an auto. What are you going to run for an ECU? The auto ECU will run seperate from the ECT computer and not throw codes, but all of the fuel maps, timing, idle, etc. are programmed for a 7M-gte auto.
I dropped a 5m-ge into my 86 pick-up about 8 years ago. I loved how that set up performed, but the old truck was do for a rebuild, so I totally stripped it and that's what I'll be doing this winter, but the 5M is not going back in...this time it is a 1UZ.
I don't want to hijack your thread, so I'll get to the point...I always intended to make my truck a 5m-gte, but never got around to it, but I still have all of the parts and you might be interested it some of them. Here's what I have:-
turbo manifold, ct26 (with a rebuild kit), stock 7m-gte heat shields, 1987 supra 7m-gte manual ecu, 1987 supra 7m-gte manual engine harness, 1987 supra wiring diagram manual, spare coil pack, etc.
As you can see I live in Canada, but very close to the Can / US border, if you want any of this stuff, shipping would be from Calais, Me. 04619.
Again I didn't want to hijack your thread, just thought that you might be interested in some of this stuff. Oh and by the way, for radiators, I only had to trim my rad support and I was able to run the stock cressida rad mounted closer to the grill with the factory mechanical fan. Good luck, you are going to love the end result.

i have just about everything that i need now. just need to put all together. i will pm you about the parts.
otherwise i was just going to wire up the ecu to think it was in N or P.
i have done this trick while wiring up a 3.4 taco motor and it turned out perfect.

i am going to try to run the supra rad. and i have a set of ford focus 2 speed e-fans that have a built in shroud that fits the supra rad as if it were made for it.

thanks for the info that you have. anything else you OR ANYONE has i am always open to ideas and tips.

Interesting read, will be following this thread. Quick question, can bellhousings from 89-92 7mge's be used or do they have to be from earlier years? I read somewhere that later years the clutch set up was different but it sounded more like hear-say than fact.

i am not sure on the 89-92 bellhouings. but i think they would work. u might be able to find out using a google search or posting a forum on a supra website.
i hope to stab today. i had to buy some flywheel bolts, rad cap, and a fuel filter yesterday. so we will see how it goes. i will post up some picts later.
here are some links with good info

got it stabbed today.
swapped out the OE brake booster and clutch master for some out of a 95 taco. had to clearance the booster a little for the manifold to clear. and have to move down the steering rod down a little to fit the larger dia brake booster.
put on a 1.25 body lift on to help with the radiator and other things.
now lots of little time consuming custom massaging to make everything look good and fit perfect.

chased wires for 4 hrs tonight. printed off some of the stuff from supracharged.com. some of it was correct and some of it was not for my supra harness. i will try to do a better wrightup when i get it all done, for the wiring that is.
hope to get the couplers and air water intercooler. i am going to run a universal mr. gasket fuel pump to use as a water pump, a smaller portion of a a/c front cooler for the water intercooler cooler. so i will go into that when i get it set up.

i shoule be able to get it wired up and hear it run by mid next week. then i will do the rad install, intercooler cooling system, brake master install, etc....
more picts later
