7M-GE swap into 84 truck?

Well I have no spark. I just put in a new coil and igniter. And still nothing looked in the distributor and cleaned up everything so is there anyone out there with experience with these engines? Does the ECU need to see fuel pressure to let the ignition work? It's starting to be a real PITA! I have googled and read up on other swaps done but to no success have I found any answers. If anyone can tell me what the ECU needs to see to allow the ignition system to work that would be great. Thanks for your help.

It's been a year or two since I wired up a 7M-GE, but let me think:

The ECU needs to see a crank signal, From what I can remember, I believe on the 7M-GE it comes from the distributor much like a 22R-E. The ECU has about 5 different power wires, make sure they are all getting power. It does not need fuel pressure.
