MR2's use transverse mount engines.
You would spend so much money, it would not economically feasible. Unless you have money coming out your ears
Btw, check around on the internet and look at pricing for supercharged MR2's. No one is letting these go cheap.

Holy Revival Batman!
So, I've done some searching on other forums and yes a 4agze will mate up with a w56. Has anyone done this?? I've been trying to decide on motors to swap into my rig when the ol' 22re finally craps out on me. Not looking to a 3.4 swap.

Its possible.
They have been swapped into RWD Corolla's many times. I have done the swap at least 5 times (I'm big into the drift community). Most guys who do this swap, opt to drop the supercharger and throw a turbo on for more power.
The issue isnt the HP and TQ it's where they are reached in the power band (RPM's) full torque isn't developed until around 4-5k and the power from 1-4k is pretty scrawny.
I wouldn't suggest it, but you do what your heart tells you to do. If you want a good 4 cyl. engine to boost, get a 3rz or install KA24DE boost it and have a real boost monster. (Sorry when it comes to cars I'm a Nissan guy for life!)
